Patients

Online Medix employs a structured process for handling patient inquiries about treatment options by health-care providers. This process ensures that treatments are offered to suitable patients in a quick manner, while maintaining a high standard of care.

Following are the principal steps of the process from a patient perspective:

  1. Online Medix establishes web assets and presence, which let patients be informed of available treatment options.
  2. Patients decide to inquire about a medical treatment offered by a health-care provider (HCP), for which Online Medix manages patient inquiries.
  3. Patient inquiry is logged in Online Medix patient care system and the inquiry is sent to the HCP.
  4. Patient information, which was provided in the inquiry, is evaluated by the HCP's coordination team to determine initial suitability for treatment.
  5. The patient is contacted and updated by the HCP's coordinators by means of an email or a phone call.
  6. Patients suitable for the treatment are asked to provide more detailed information for evaluation by the HCP's medical team.
  7. The HCP's medical team decides about patient acceptance for treatment.
  8. The patient is updated of the decision, and the treatment terms are coordinated by the HCP's coordination team.
  9. The patient arrives to the HCP's treatment facility and a final medical evaluation and treatment decision is made by the HCP's medical team.
  10. The patient is treated according to the treatment terms and the updated medical evaluation.
  11. Patients, which are found not suitable for treatment at any of the steps above, are notified and given an opportunity to receive information about other treatment options, if such are available.
